Six Word Stories

I saw this site a couple of weeks ago through which people told stories using merely six words. They are at times funny and often, heartbreaking.

Here are a few favorites:

  1. Strangers. Friends. Best friends. Lovers. Strangers. —POTATOCATS
  2. “Wrong number,” says a familiar voice. —bailiff
  3. Torched the haystack. Found the needle. —Newtonswig
  4. Sorry soldier, shoes sold in pairs. —Independent
  5. Brought roses home. Keys didn’t fit. —shallowblue
  6. Two wives, one funeral, no tears. —Desrio
  7. What’s for dinner, Mom? …where’s Rover? —Ashton D. Dickinson
  8. Cancer. Only three months left. Pregnant. —Marianne (this right here is a good movie story)
  9. New start. New you. Not you. —Victoria
  10. Free rent. Three squares. Maximum Security. —Alex
  11. We’re only married because it’s easy. —Tristan
  12. Soulmate’s funeral. His wife cries. Bitch. —Melo
