The fact that the mountain is named “Mt. Tangisan” (“wail” in English) is already a bad sign. But since I’ve already signed up, might as well hike.
It was my first time hiking with a full pack, and wow was it hard (we had to bring 6 liters of water on top of the other camping gears!). It was a difficult, difficult hike (actually it wasn’t. I think it’s around the same difficulty as Mt. Talamitam).
How to Get There:
No public transpo available. Ensure to make arrangements before hiking.
- Bring a trowel. The summit is full of cow poop.
- It’s hot! Prepare accordingly.
- There are two (?) portions where you have to crawl underneath a barbed wire. Careful with your clothes!
