Pictures aren’t allowed, and please be on time.

This is one amazing church with an extremely powerful choir and an involved congregation. Anyone can come in, they simply request that you stay the duration of the service.

I think this is one of the highlights of my New York trip, and is something anyone interested in music used to celebrate faith should consider.

Huge Food Servings

March 19, 2017

I was warned. Really, I was. But I still wasn’t prepared.

I ordered one dish. Chicken. How was I supposed to know they will be serving me three huge chicken breasts?! I was full the moment I saw the plate.

The food was decent, but it’s just that my appetite was gone the moment I saw it. This was in a diner right at the corner of The Brooklyn Tabernacle Church.

Flying to US for less than $300

January 17, 2017

I’ve always been after the best deals – so when I knew I had to fly to the US from Tokyo, I just had to check the flight daily. Yep, daily.

So how does it work?

  1. Go incognito (ctrl + shift + n in Chrome).
  2. Search “Tokyo to New York [date]” in Google
  3. Check the prices available.
  4. Repeat. Daily.

For some other countries, google does not post the price. In which case, check all those sites. No, there’s no such thing as a consolidated site (probably except google) that will show you all prices. Skyscanner doesn’t show Delta, for example.

Voila. One day, I found a JPY30,440 DELTA round trip ticket (with merely a 1.5 hour layover in Minneapolis) on my preferred dates! Score!
