CMA Preparation: The Review

The CMA Examination is one of the most expensive there is, and for an almost 30-something professional, is quite a challenge.

Now, there are a couple of things one has to cover, and since I haven’t passed yet (fingers crossed!), the only tip I have for now is:

if you are buying Gleim, wait til July-ish. They have a 30% off to their premium account, and that 30% off applies to the IMA entrance fees too.

So wait! 😉

November 2019 update: They had a 35% Black Friday sale, so you might want to wait for that.

A calculator’s pretty simple right? So I decided to use my new-so-amazing calculator for some simple functions.

I was adding some figures – let’ say 1+1. So I hit 1 + 1, then pressed “Enter”. It showed 1. Huh. There’s something wrong. So I hit 1 + then it suddenly showed 2. Something’s really wrong.

So.

I guess it it’s time to take out the guide…

Equipped with a GMAT score, I’ve decided to apply to various schools (as if my score was something to be proud of. haha)

1. Hitotsubashi University
2. Asian Institute of Management
3. University of the Philippines – School of Economics

UP SE Application

One of the lesser known options – the University of the Philippine’s School of Economics graduate school is a warm and “bigger picture alternative to an MBA. It is a totally different field, and yet not so different.

IIA Membership

I thought it was over after the CIA exam. Apparently it wasn’t.

To retain the membership, we must pay an annual fee. Yep. Annual.

AIM Application

Whenever I ask around for the best graduate school in the Philippines, they always say the Asian Institute of the Philippines. But most do not apply, intimidated with the expenses associated with it. Being a globally competitive grad school, the prices are also, er, globally competitive.

But I say the heck with it – might as well, try!
